Crypt Trip: Rootstock

CRYPT TRIP: Rootstock
100% Genuine, Vintage Early 70's Rock:
(from 2018)

Close your eyes and spin this one, and you will swear you are back in the time when rock was first awesome.  I gave rave reviews for 2016's EP "Mabon Songs," and the full album exceeds expectations.  I am truly amazed at how perfect Rootstock is.  The album is mastered by the inimitable Kent Stump of Wo Fat, and he really lets the band shine, and brings out all their strengths.  Six dollars for eight tunes, but really five if you owned the EP.  That said, you're also getting what's guaranteed to be one of the best releases of 2018 for only six bucks.  Hear for yourself; "Heartslave" is the lead-off track:
And here is "Rio Vista"

Crypt Trip is:
Ryan Lee: Guitar, Vocals, Elec. Piano
Cameron Martin: Drums, Vocals, Perc.
Sam Bryant: Bass
Organ (Aquarena Daydream, Rio Vista) and spoken word (Soul Games) by Brittany Garza.

For two years now I've started off the year with a couple of interviews of bands from my most recent top ten list,
and am hoping to post interviews from two of my absolute favorite new bands really soon.
Stay tuned...
