SIENA ROOT: THE SECRET OF OUR TIME
ELITE THROWBACK ROCK

If you read my posts, you know that I love throwback 1970's inspired rock bands like Crypt Trip, Abramis Brama and Skunk.  Siena Root is probably the first band I would recommend to you if you truly like your rock the way it used to be.  Those who listen to my Stoner Rock playlists have heard Siena Root featured in playlists #2, 17, 36 and 39.  One or more tunes from "The Secret Of Our Time" will surely end up on future playlists.
Siena Root are from Stokholm, Sweden, the country where rock music is added to the drinking water the way flouride is here.  They play analog equipment.  In their words, when they play live they use "all the heavy vintage equipment that most bands lack the strength and passion to carry along."
Let's start off with a live version of track 2, "Siren Song", just to prove how bad-ass this band really is. Organist Erik Petersson is channeling some Jon Lord For sure.
(PS: When have I ever begun a review with a live track? The fact that I am doing so now hopefully indicates how special I think this is.)
Now, here's track 3, "Organic Intelligence"  Maybe best tune of the year.
Siena Root are:

Sam Riffer - Bass
Love Forsberg - Percussion
Zubaida Solid - Vocals
Johan Borgström - Guitar
Erik Petersson - Organ
Matte Gustavsson - Guitar
Lisa Lystam - Bakup Vocals

guest artists on this album include Stefan Koglek of Colour Haze, as well as past member of Siena Root, KG Westman

You can buy this sure-to-be classic here, or of course from Amazon.

What to do with your extra time while you can't go to work?
You could get a few things done that you've been procrastinating on, or....
you could search our site for "Ultra Reviews", "Ultrasounds" and "Playlists".  I'd be really surprised if you poked around here and didn't find something new that you like.

Enjoy your path!!!
