Review: Mephistofeles "Whore"

MEPHISTOFELES: Whore
Up And Comers From Argentina

Judging from their Facebook pictures, these kids look like they're barely 20 years old, yet they have hit the ground running with a really good first release.  This is solid doom, self described as "filthy as a whore".  It will appeal to fans of Belzebong, Electric Wizard and the like.  "Whore" is well worth the $4 being charged on Bandcamp; about 35 minutes of  authentic doom/stoner rock.  Check out the lead track, "Black Sunday":

While not earth-shattering, "Whore" screams potential, and I can't wait to see what these kids come up with next.  I expect Mephistofeles to rank in the rock gods category within a matter of years.  Here is another of my favorites, "Drug Addict":

Got another sweet review comin' at ya next weekend; it's worth bragging about, and I will be super-impressed if you are already aware it.  Until then, stay heavy.    -ULTRA
