BLAST FROM THE PAST

Tony Berardini used to play this on his Sunday night "Heavy Metal From Hell" all the time back in the 80's:

Chrome was the band, from San Francisco.  They mixed heavy metal, psychedelic, punk and industrial music into something that to this day sounds like nobody else but themselves.  The song is "Firebomb"

Chrome has had quite a few members over the years.  You can read all about them here, but the two most-mentioned members are founder Damon Edge (drums, vocals, synthesizer, production) and Helios Creed (guitar)
Here's another cool tune from the same album.
Album: "3rd from The Sun"
Song: "Armageddon"

Here are Damon and Helios (l-r):

This album was released in 1982, and managed to use synthesizers in a rebellious way, very contrary to the way they were about to be used in popular 80's music.

Lineup for "3rd from The Sun":

Anyway, as I usually say, I hope I've either brought back a good memory or introduced you to something different.

Until next time
