Killer Be Killed - Metal Heavy Weights set to unleash their follow up, Reluctant Hero, this month!

Killer Be Killed
Reluctant Hero
Release Date: 11.20.20

The boiling pot is running over.
The best of Sepultura, Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastadon and Converge come together to bring you one of the best albums of the year!

The world is on pandemic time and the new norm is not normal at all.
On Paper, three famed vocalists in one band sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Here we are almost a decade in and Killer Be Killed's latest, Reluctant Hero, is set to be one of the best albums of this whole shit-show of a year.
The first three track's released from Reluctant Hero are fucking amazing!
I've listened to them over and over and over!
It's been several years since something akin to that dreaded "Super Group" tag had any lasting power.
SO many influences and attitudes usually spell the demise of a band like that.
The Killer Be Killed origin began in 2011 between Greg and Max.
It eventually expanded and was retooled to the line up we see today.
Always a diverse cast.

This album is not a mish mash of guest appearances. The music equally emphasizes the strengths of ALL members. No one-upman ship or grandstanding. How many super groups can say that?

Troy's soaring vocals are akin to a Viking priest summoning some type of frost giant.
Greg's range as a singer has grown even further than his days with Dillinger. A mix of moving and spastic moments all in the right place. Touring with the Deftones years back definitely had a great influence on his current style.
And MAX.
Pummeling as ever, yet clearly aware of the instrumental landscape around him. Max and Greg's spastic and bat shit crazy screams blend so completely.
Don't leave out the absolute groove and structure of Ben's percussion that creates the groundwork for all of this beautiful mayhem. Just check out that beat at the intro to "Inner Calm from Outer Storms". SO GOOD!

Heavy shit, soaring shit, pummeling shit, grooves and vastness.
Lyrics that you can relate to especially now!
Anguish and Anger.
It's beautiful at it's darkest moments.

In my opinion, it is going to be an album that opens ears and eyes. It's already made me more of a fan of  Dillinger Escape Plan and Mastadon(I held a grudge since I'm in the NEUROSIS fan camp). I missed the boat on their debut. I'm glad I'm not missing this album and neither should you. I haven't been so blown away by something new to my ears in a long time.
