DUNBARROW II

Smooth As A Baby's Bottom, Without The Smell
I have been looking forward to this album for quite some time, and it is every bit as good as I had hoped it would be.  Released today, I downloaded it this morning and listened to it once on the way to work and twice on the way home (Friday traffic just sucks).  Smooth is the best word I have to describe Dunbarrow's second full length album.  Fans of early Witchcraft, Graveyard and Troubled Horse who want more will find exactly what they are looking for here.

One of my early favorites is track 3, "Weary Lady."  Classic bass and guitar sound with lots of half tones, and drum playing that's perfect for the unique songwriting (and don't forget smooth).  Hear for yourself:

And now track 8, "Witches Of The Woods Pt.II", complete with spooky lyrics and even some cowbell:

Dunbarrow is:
Espen Andersen - Vocals
Kenneth Lønning - Guitar
Eirik Øvregård - Guitar
Sondre Berge - Bass
Pål Gunnar Dale - Drums

Dunbarrow are masters of creating a mood, and I am going to be in the mood for listening to this album quite often.
Pick it up on Bandcamp here, and do check out the lyrics; they are excellent (click on the song titles on Bandcamp and you'll be shown the lyrics).

Maybe something else tomorrow if time permits.  Otherwise, catch you next weekend
