42 Days Away:
DUNBARROW II

In late June I found  "That Seventies Compilation" on bandcamp, one of a long list of name your price albums compiled by a group called "Doomed & Stoned".  If you want to discover new doom and stoner rock, you will be hitting "favorite" and "download" with great frequency here.

Anyhow, after about fifteen of the tracks making me want to look up the artist, my favorite of the lot was "The Wanderer" by Dunbarrow.  I looked them up and took the deal on the entire discography on Bandcamp.  As a HUGE fan of the first three Witchcraft albums, I felt  like I had discovered some unreleased album from that era.  Just as I tried to figure out why I had never heard this band before, I got an e-mail saying that the new album is out September 14th.  The two pre-released tracks tell me it will not disappoint.
Check out the lead-off track, "On Your Trail":

Now track 6, "The Wolf"
Dunbarrow is:
Espen Andersen - Vocals
Kenneth Lønning - Guitar
Eirik Øvregård - Guitar
Sondre Berge - Bass
Pål Gunnar Dale - Drums
I don't mean to sound like Dunbarrrow are Witchcraft "wannabe's".  They are Witchcraft inspired, but equally good.
Going to be "off the grid" for the next ten days.  If you clicked on the link for Doomed and Stoned above, you will have more than enough to listen to in the meantime.   Will come back with a vengeance...
