The heavy hitters of online journalism VICE are using their music news dept., Noisey, to cover the NOLA scene in their new 7 parts series titled NOLA: Life, Death and Heavy Blues from the Bayou.
The series delves into the culture and history of the New Orleans sound better known to metal fans as NOLA. Some of the most well known bands covered in this series include DOWN, EYEHATEGOD, CROWBAR, ACID BATH & GOATWHORE. This series will tackle the music, drugs, suicides and the effect of Katrina on the whole scene.
