Midnight is our Spotlight Artist of the Month. They are a unapologetic metal band out of Cleveland that has garnered a worldwide underground following. What is the appeal? Maybe it's that they wear black hoods and light shit on fire all night. Then again, maybe it's the madness of their Venom meets Motorhead "Black and Roll", a sound that is as catchy as it is brash. Whatever it is, their latest album "No Mercy for Mayhem", kills it. I mean, it's in your face biker metal that reminds me a lot of early 80's NWOBHM . The band keeps it fun and the production is the opposite of polished. As opposed to the bands of the NWOBHM era, this band has a sense of humor. Their "forked tongue in cheek" take on satanic rock and subject matter that strolls the line between good taste and a tongue lashing by the local censorship committee is a breath of fresh air. They may or may not be on your radar but they definitely should be. Check their latest release below.
